Jon Wilks
I collaborated with Jon Wilks on the design for his fourth solo album, Before I Knew What Had Begun I Had Already Lost. The design aims to reflect the more personal and introspective nature of the album through the use of handwriting and torn paper.
Jackie Oates & John Spiers
Jackie Oates and John Spiers approached me with an exciting brief for their new album, A Midwinter’s Night. They wanted the design to have a cosy, wintery feel without being explicitly Christmassy. They referenced William Morris wallpaper, vintage folk posters, and the patterns found on classic accordions. I found a beautiful sample wall covering from 1912 in the collections of the Cooper Hewitt museum. I edited the colours of the original to suggest the rich greens of winter foliage and red berries.
Marketing design
I have created a range of marketing materials to accompany Oxford University Press books and journals. These pieces have included bookmarks, web banners, short animations, flyers, and promotional items.
